A warm welcome to Fferm y Garth!

Miss Evans yw ein hathrawes ddosbarth, rydym yn ffodus iawn hefyd o dderbyn cymorth gan Mrs Hallett.

Mae 29 o ddisgyblion yn ein dosbarth ni eleni gyda 19 ym Mlwyddyn 2 a 10 ym Mlwyddyn 3. Rydym yn edrych ymlaen at flwyddyn prysur, cyffrous a hapus.

Miss Evans is our class teacher, and we are also very lucky to have Mrs. Hallett support us. There are 29 in our class with 19 in Year 2 and 10 in Year 3. We are all looking forward to a year full of exciting, happy and new experiences.

Pethau i’w Cofio

Ymarfer Corff - pob Dydd Iau (Bydd angen i blant ddod â chit chwaraeon i’r ysgol: llodrau / leggins du, crys-t gwyn a threiners).

Darllen - Angen dod a bag darllen i’r ysgol bob dydd.

Poteli dŵr - Rydyn ni’n annog y plant i ddod â photel plastig o ddŵr wedi’i lenwi i’r ysgol bob dydd (nid sudd neu sgwash, er mwyn atal pydredd dannedd).

Dillad Coll  - A allwch sicrhau bod enw eich plentyn wedi’i hysgrifennu tu mewn i bob dilledyn.     

Ffrwythau - Plîs dewch â darn o ffrwyth i fwyta amser chwarae neu 20c yn ddyddiol i brynu darn o ffrwyth yn ein siop ffrwythau.

Gwaith cartref - Annogir pob plentyn i ddarllen yn rheolaidd. Yn achlysurol rhoddir darnau penodol o waith cartref megis sillafu ychwanegol, ymarferion rhifedd neu brosiectau.

Things to Remember

P.E - Every Thursday - (pupils are asked to bring a P.E. kit to school so that they can change for lessons. Clothing and bags should be labelled; the bag should include a plain white t-shirt, black shorts/trousers and trainers). 

Reading – Reading books must be returned every day.

Water bottles – Children may bring water bottles to school (already filled). No other drinks are permitted, only water!

Lost clothing – Please ensure that your child’s name is clearly marked on every item of clothing.

Fruit - We are a healthy school. Please provide your child with a piece of fruit to eat at break times. A piece of fruit can be bought for 20p at our fruit tuck shop. 

Home work - All pupils are expected to read regularly. Additional pieces of homework may be provided by the class teacher for example, spelling and numeracy exercises and occasionally thematic projects.

Bore da Fferm y Garth! Thema'r her heddiw ydy 'Tawelu'r meddwl a myfyrfio' ac felly rydw i eisiau i chi ystyried y gwaith ysgol rydych chi wedi gwneud yr wythnos hon a dewis eich hoff un - Efallai taw'r dasg peintio carreg bydd hi neu'r arbrawf gwyddoniaeth? Ystyriwch beth oeddech chi'n hoffi am y dasg (Gwneud i chi deimlo'n hapus, hoffi darganfod pethau newydd, hoffi bod yn greadigol ayyb). Er mwyn tawelu'r meddwl, gwnewch rywbeth sy'n helpu chi i ymlacio. :)

Good morning Fferm y Garth! Today’s challenge topic is ‘Calm your mind and evaluate' and I’d like you to consider the school work/ activities you have done this week or over the past fortnight and choose your favourite – It might be the rock painting or the science experiment or the yoga? Consider what you liked about the task (Maybe it made you feel calm, maybe you liked the excitement of discovering something new, maybe you like being creative etc). It’s important to learn about what it is we enjoy. In order to calm the mind, I’d like you to do something that helps you relax – I’d love to hear your ideas. :)

Dydd Mawrth 12.5.2020: Symud a chadw’r corff yn iach/ Keep active

Ewch am dro, gwnewch ddawns, ewch ar eich sgwter neu beic, gwnewch ioga. Sylwch ar sut mae’ch hwyl yn newid ar ôl y gweithgaredd.

Go for a walk, do some dancing, go on your scooter or bike, do some yoga. Notice how your mood changes after the activity.

Hello everyone! Hooray it's Friday - the end of another busy week! I have been keeping busy by doing things that make me feel happy. I enjoy drawing and being creative so I drew a picture of some flowers I have in the kitchen (See below). How about you have a go at drawing something that makes you feel happy? :D

Helo Fferm y Garth, es i i'r siop a phrynais i botel o laeth 2 litr. Rydw i'n hoffi'r llaeth o boteli lliw gwyrdd. Pa liw llaeth ydych chi'n yfed yn eich tŷ chi? Yn eich grid gweithgareddau'r wythnos rydw i wedi awgrymu i chi ganfod sut mae llaeth yn cyrraedd y siop felly dyma sialens i chi...

1. Ewch i'r oergell i weld pa laeth rydych chi'n defnyddio yn y tŷ.
2. Ydych chi'n gallu gweld ar y botel o ba siop daeth y llaeth?
3. Rydym ni'n gallu prynu llaeth o wahanol siopau gwahanol. Ydych chi'n meddwl bod pob potel o laeth yn costio'r un peth?
4. Ymchwiliwch ar y we i faint mae un botel o laeth yn costio mewn gwahanol siopau e.e. Tesco, Asda, Aldi ac Iceland (gallwch ymwchilio'r un lliw a maint potel sydd gyda chi yn y ty)

5. Cofnodwch faint mae'r botel o laeth yn costio yn y siopau gwahanol - Ydy'r prisiau'n debyg? Ydy'r pris yn fwy neu'n llai na beth oeddech chi'n disgwyl?

Hello! I went to the shop and I bought a 2 litre bottle of milk. I like semi-skimmed which is the green label. What colour label do you buy in your house? On your activity grid, I suggested that you could find out how milk reaches the shop so here's some help to support you with this task...

1. Have a look in your fridge at home to see what colour/ size milk you use in your house.

2. Can you see on the bottle what shop you'd bought the milk from?

3. We can buy milk from many shops. Do you think that bottles of milk cost them same in all shops? How much do you think a bottle of milk costs?

4. Use the internet to research how much a bottle of milk costs in different shops e.g. Asda, Tesco, Aldi, Iceland (you can research the price of the same size/ sticker colour of milk you have in your home)

5. Make a note of the prices of milk in the different shops. Are they the same? Is the price more or less than you'd expected?

6. From what animal do we get our milk? With an adult/ or an older sibling you could research how milk reaches the shop. You can then create a story map outlining the journey of the milk from its source to our homes.

Rydw i wedi plannu 3 hedyn mewn potiau gwahanol heddiw ac mae gen i her i chi. Dydw i ddim yn gallu penderfynu ble i gadw'r potiau er mwyn i'r hadau tyfu. Annwyl Fferm y Garth,

Gobeithio eich bod chi wedi cael penwythnos hwylus. Treuliais i ran fwyaf o'r penwythnos yn coginio neu'n ymlacio yn yr ardd. Penderfynais i goginio cacennau gydag aeron las ond erbyn i fi dynnu llun ohonyn nhw maen nhw wedi dechrau diflannu! Tybed pwy sydd wedi bwyta nhw? Ha ha! Beth yw eich hoff gacen chi? Beth am i chi goginio rhywbeth yr wythnos hon - Bydda i wrth fy modd yn gweld lluniau o'r bwyd blasus rydych chi wedi coginio!

I hope you've had an enjoyable weekend. I spent most of my weekend cooking or relaxing out in the garden. I decided to bake some blueberry cupcakes but by the time I remembered to take a photo, many of them seem to have disappeard! I wonder who's been eating them all? Ha ha! What's your favourite cake? What about finding a recipe and doing some cooking or baking this week - I look forward to seeing some photos of your masterpieces! Diolch byth mae'r haul wedi dod i ddweud helo eto heddiw. Ydych chi wedi cael cyfle i dreulio amser tu fas yn yr ardd?

Rydw i wedi rhoi poster gydag enwau'r adar ar wefan yr ysgol heddiw. Bydda i wrth fy modd yn clywed pa adar rydych chi wedi gweld ar hyd y lle. Heddiw, es i allan i'r ardd i blannu blodau a gwelais i 6 aderyn du ac 1 pioden. Gobeithio byddai'n gweld mwy yfory!

Thank goodness the sun has come out to say hello once again today! Have you been out in the garden enjoying the weather? I have shared a poster with you on our class page on our website to help you with naming birds you see outdoors. Today, I have been planting some flowers in my garden and I saw 6 blackbirds and 1 magpie. Hopefully I'll see more tomorrow!
