Welcome to Cefn Llwyd!

Miss Perry yw ein hathrawes ddosbarth,  rydym yn ffodus iawn i dderbyn cymorth gan Mr Reeves. 

Mae 30 o ddisgyblion blwyddyn 5 a 6 yn ein dosbarth eleni. Rydym yn edrych ymlaen at flwyddyn brysur, gyffrous a hapus i’n paratoi tuag y dyfodol.

Miss Perry is our class teacher, we are also lucky to have Mr Reeves supporting us this year. 

There are 30 year 5 and 6 pupils in our class.

We are all looking forward to a year full of exciting, happy and new experiences in preparation for our future development.

Cychwynon ni yr wythnos yma ar ein dathliadau Nadolig. Dechreuon ni ymchwilio i draddodiadau nadolig y Philippines a dechrau ar ein paratoadau. Mwynheuodd pawb ein parti dosbarth dydd Gwener, ble buon ni yn chwarae gemau, bwyta cacen a a joio amser gyda'n gilydd. 

We began our Christmas celebrations this week. We started researching the Christmas traditions in the Philippines and started our exciting Christmas preparations. Everyone enjoyed our class birthday party on Friday, we played games, ate cake and enjoyed spending time together.

09/11/20 - 13/11/20

Wythnos bendigedig arall, mae'r plant wedi mwynhau yn fawr iawn dysgu am ddaearyddiaeth afonydd ein ardal leol a'r byd. Treulion nhw ddiwrnod yn pori trwy atlasau a google earth yn ceisio lleoli a darganfod mwy am leoliadau;r afonydd enwog yma. Dysgodd y plant pwysigrwydd gofalu am eraill ac i fod yn ddiolchgar am yr hyn sydd ganddynt ar ddiwrnod plant mewn angen ble cymerodd y plant rhan mewn llwyth o weithgareddau 'Actiwch eich oedran', dewisodd y plant i ddanfon gwyneb hapus o amylch yr ysgol i blant i fynd a nhw adref er mwyn dangos caredigrwydd at bawb. 

Another wonderful week at Cefn Llwyd, the children thoroughly enjoyed learning about the georgraphy of our local and world rivers this week. They spent an entire day searching through atlases and google earth trying to locate and discover more about the famous rivers. The children also learnt about the importance of looking after others and to be greatful for what they have during our children in need week, where the children took part in many 'Act your age' activities. The children decided to create happy faces for children of the school to take home on Friday as a gift of kindess.

Dychwelodd y plant yn hapus ac yn gyffrous am wythnos arall o weithgareddau hwylus. Cerddon ni Cwm yr Aber yn chwilio am gliwiau am ein thema newydd, poron ni trwy gerddi ar afonydd, gwneud tasgau mathemateg hwylus a chydweithio yn ein pwyllgorau. 

The children returned happy and excited for the next half term full of exciting activities. We walked the Aber Valley in search for clues for our current theme, we read many poems on rivers, completed interesting mathematical activities and worked as a team in our pupil councils.

Am wythnos llwyddiannus arall. Mae Cefn Llwyd wedi bod yn brysur yn datblygu sgiliau cerflunio ac yn paentio. Dysgon ni llwyth o wybodaeth a chofio am hanes Tanchwa Senghennydd. Mwynheuodd y dosbarth tasgau TGCh codio, mynegi barn a dysgu am gysterau ser. 

Another successful week! Cefn Llwyd have been very busy developing their sculpting and painting skills. We have learnt many new facts and remembered the Senghennydd Mining disaster. The children have enjoyed ICT coding tasks, persuasion tasks on Flipgrid and learnt about star constellations.

Am wythnos bendigedig! Llwyddon ni i ddysgu llwyth o ffeithiau newydd am y gofod, datblygu ein sgiliau o weithio yn annibynnol gyda'n 'awr o athrylith', defnyddio 'sheets' er mwyn cynhyrchu bas data ar gyfer siopa yn asda am fwyd, coginio tarten tomato a wedi mynd am dro. 

What a wonderful week! We have learnt many new facts about space, we've improved our independent working skills  with our 'Genious Hour', used spreadsheets to create a food log and work out the cost to shop at Asda, cooked a tomato tart and been for a walk.

Mae'r plant wdi bod yn brysur yr wythnos yma yn gwneud amrywiaeth o dasgau iaith, technoleg a chelf. Mwynheuodd y plant arbrofi a chlai a dylunio estron gyda phartner. 

The children have been busy this week with a variety of literacy, technology and art tasks. They thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with clay techniques and designing their very own alien with a partner.

Mwynheuodd y plant dechrau ar wersi yr wythnos yma, llwyth o frwdfrydedd am wersi fathemateg a dosbarthon ni rhoddion o garedigrwydd o gwmpas y gymuned.  

The children enjoyed starting lessons this week and displayed a great enthusiasm for mathematics, we also created bouquets of flowers and kindness messages and hid them around our local community.

The children have returned happy and full of excitment, we have enjoyed walking around the local area, technology tasks and art projects.
